I have known this song for a while, but it just started to make sense to me when I realized how much it fit into my situation. think this song is about loving someone and knowing that they'll never love you back. "A drop in the ocean, a change in the weather, I was praying that you and me might end up together" means that there are endless possibilities, but they want you to be together. "Like wishing for rain while I stand in the desert" means that it's completely unreasonable, but you hope for it anyway. "I don't want to waste the weekend, if you don't love me pretend" means that He doesn't want to waste time waiting for her to share the same feelings, so he's going to pretend it's possible."As my train rolls down the east coast, I wonder how you'll keep warm" Is like wondering if the other person will feel the same pain as you. |
