| Sabaton – Night Witches Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| This is what I love about Sabaton. They don't just focus on the obvious heroes, but rather on those who not many have heard of, but whose actions proved significant. I personally did not know about this Squadron before I looked this song up. | |

During the battle of Berlin the General of the 12th Army, Walther Wenck realised that the Red Army was closing in and so was the demise of his soldiers. Instead of holding his post and fighting the incoming Soviets as his orders were, he instead used his Army to create a "escape-corridor" to get himself out of Berlin. For this he'd surely be sentenced to death for treason, however in doing this he saved the life of up to 250,000 Germans by safely escorting them out of the burning city. |

| During the Papua New Guinea campaign of World War II, Corporal Leslie "Bull" Allen, an Australian Army soldier was awarded the US Silver Star for rescuing 12 soldiers in the heat of battle. This song is a tribute to him. | |
| Blackmill – Let It Be Lyrics | 11 years ago |

Beautiful. Just beautiful. Blackmill is an artist when it comes to captivating feelings such as love, friendship, life-related questions and generally mystic subjects. This piece of art must be one of his best accomplishments as an artist and I salute him for releasing this spectacular song. The song to me is about a pair who are going through a tough time. Living far apart and don't think this relationship was a good idea due to the distance between them. I can't help but feel this may be a story out of Blackmill's life, since he comes from Scotland which typically is filled with mountains, highlands and whatnot. The song highlights features like "cliffside" and "many miles on the other side" - Does 'other side' mean across the waters in Scandinavia, France or some place else? We can only guess, but to me this song says something about Blackmill's own life and the traps of distance relationships. |
