General Comment: I think the song means that the guy was afraid to love her, but she's been through a lot hence "I've loved and I've lost" it's ok to be afraid she says.. Just because it hurt the first time or maybe even the second it's ok to try again but since he was so afraid he left her.. if he was to ever come back hence she says "it will never be the same" but she just wants the satisfaction that he will regret letting her go. (Hence "explosions") because it's too late she hopes In another life she will love him If it was meant to be.. Hence " i pray I find you another time, ill love you another time" If he were to ever run into her hence "you trembling like you seem a ghost" She's hoping one day he will realize what he let go.. He just didn't give her a chance.... |

| I think the song means that's she really liked the guy but not to any extent and he thought she wanted more because of what she's been through but that wasn't the case, hence "your love was never the missing piece" she just enjoyed his company she felt alive for the first time or even in a long time but he just saw differently, he thought she wanted more. But she had that under control. | |
