Very interesting to see all the thoughts everyone has on this song. I have been lucky to know glen for many many years and I don't think he would mind me telling this story. Glen is a long time Satanist and also very much into the whole BDSM lifestyle. This song was written when his Master/slave relationship with a young lady ( ill keep her name out of it) who he felt left her service to him for the wrong reasons. Blood and tears is literally about the blood she shed for him and the tears of sadness they both shed when she left, in his view she never wanted to leave and was pushed into doing so by people around her. In the song he is telling her he doesn't want her to suffer or despair that he still loves her.. |
