| The first line "I think about closing the door, and lately I think of it more" to me sounds a person contemplating suicide. They are unhappy with their lot in life and can't relate to the present day world as it is. They feel like they should have been born in another time. The line "I should be at the table round, a servant of the crown..." makes me think this person is someone with a bright mind who is forced to live in a way that is beneath them and doesn't let them shine and live up to their true potential. They are living like a peasant even though they are really royalty. | |

I think this song is about D'arcy and her increasing drug use in her final days in the band.
