I think this song is related to her previous album "The fall", which is all about the end of a relationship… I think "after the fall" talks about the reconstruction of both of them after all happened… And it is a great metaphor to use the seasons… and i think she puts herself in a worse position.. because she says "in your mind so warm" and then "In my mind so cold"…. And it's also funny the she assumes that now all she and he have to do is move on… although "After the fall I still want it all…" Beautiful! that's just the way love is… great poetry, I just love her work with music!!! |
