Man I could so give you the interpretation but that would ruin the song for you wouldn't it? haha if not here is my interpretation: I interpret "Falling" as describing and giving new flavor to the cliche metaphor; taking a leap of faith. Thee Danielle says "I'm standing at the edge (like edge of a cliff)...just one more step I could let go (like fall of the edge of the cliff) thus you would be falling? Then the artist says " OH, and in the middle, I hear the voices and they're calling for me now I know". I take the Middle to be the average the normal, a normal life, the people who live a normal existence, and the artist is feeling torn between going to the normal existence or taking 1 more step and letting go. She walks towards the middle because they are cajoling her to the middle by saying "dont stop (like keep coming to the middle) No one is ever enough (like your not good enough for the leap of faith)". You know she is walking toward the middle because in the first verse she says 1 more step, well you wouldnt have to keep coming if you only had 1 more step, right? Thus shes headed for the middle. Then the song says, Ill never look back and never give up, so the song singer is saying she chose the leap of faith and now feels higher than the truth, feels the heat, but isnt burning, so you should take the leap of faith too. Pretty awesome song if you've ever tried to reach a dream, or even been bold enough to fall in love while fully conscious. Anyway, checkout the live version from 2012 @ the itunes festival because she adds to the second verse and they, as a group, are phenomenal, so do yourself that favor.
