this song was my favorite at age 6, and still remains one of my favorites, up to this day. The repetition of lyrics in this song never really feels like repetition. It`s all so rythmical and fluent. It always (well as soon as i could understand english for it`s not my native) sounded like the lady was singing "he`s up and down". and it still does, but this little bit can be heard in many ways, and only a true genius and an artist (in my opinion) could make one sentence sound in such a way that people hear different things. About the meaning, i think that HRslammR had a pretty good idea, and the video for this song also hints towards that, yet it`s filled with sadness and grief. I find myself listening to this song, whenever something really bad happens to me. i just automatically turn it on, and sit for hours listening to it, and Moby in general. |
