Metallica – Halo on Fire Lyrics 7 years ago
As James said it in the discussion in Metallica's blog, https://www.metallica.com/blog/so-what-article/436104/james-hetfield-the-hardwired-lyrics-discussion

"You can plug anything into that one really. Obviously “Halo On Fire,” there’s a juxtaposition in all of us, good, evil, and when does that come out, when does it show itself? Some people portray themselves as real saints, [and] the more their darkness is, the more they have to portray themselves as saints. So you’re basically getting away from the real “you,” like you’re making up for all of this [stuff] that you think is really bad. "

Interpol – Everything Is Wrong Lyrics 7 years ago
I think this song is about how we are all going through the days of our lives, and how it turns out not to be that perfect road, not the perfects stroll through the idealistic "garden" of our lives, but rather something that's coming out as truly wrong to us.
Sometimes we find ourselves in places where we're going backwards, or in doubts over whether or not our paths are right, and whether or not we lost on the maps of our soul and our life. And sometimes we see that it really wasn't perfect, but wasn't right or wrong too, and what made us and our lives may actually be not that much, maybe even just only that very days that we lived through, and even this much has "taken apart the best of us", and we're exhausted to the point where our hearts has become numb, but, nevertheless, it is what made us who we are right now, and this is our treasure, and despite the more-rhetorical statement that everything is wrong, everything was also truly real, as the constant ticking refrain in the song reminds us.

Interpol – All the Rage Back Home Lyrics 9 years ago
@[saintjy:15065] Following your interpretation, "it's all the rage back home" may refer to the point that all of that what was keeping this man standing is back in the past and doesn't work anymore, so "it's all the rage back home" and he keeps falling because things doesn't work like they were before

Styx – Boat On The River Lyrics 11 years ago
There must be some reference to a book written by John Kendrick Bangs "A House-Boat on the Styx" (published in 1985).
"The premise of the book is that everyone who has ever died (up to the time in which the book is set, which seems to be about the time of its publication) has gone to Styx, the river that circles the underworld" [wiki]
