I think you're 100% right. Perhaps even cheating? I always think about someone cheating. Basically I consider this song a more eloquent version of "Lemme Smell Yo' Dick" by Riskay (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgWgEoaAYDY) "Why you comin' home, 5 in the morn, somethin' goin' on, can I smell yo dick." Is basically equivalent to "Touch me or don't (Just let me know) Where you been?" |

Vin writes a number of their songs. Jesse's talent is that he can sing, so he sings their songs. Vin's talent is that he can shred like a mofo, so he does that. But on the inside of all of their albums they write "All songs written by Brand New". They really want to emphasize that Brand New is a team project and that no one member is responsible for their creativity. |

Very well said. You provided me with a lot of insight into that songs meaning. Although, I'm curious about your take on the lines there at the end of the song: "You could lay on your back and be beaten You could put up your fists and fight You could try and be way off" Most specifically the last line there. What are they saying there? |
