The song writer, Jon Crosby, lost a treasured lover to suicide early on before his career started. He still feels haunted by her. He is, as the other comment writer stated, trapped in his wordly body while his former lover is "free." Sound familiar? Many of this artist's songs work through he emotions on this personal tradgety. However in his latest albums he appears to have moved on and is dating and has even fathered a son. The past still creeps into his lyrics from time to time. Listen to "Touched" from the first album again carefully. It is about the girlfriend's suicide. "Pretty When You Cry" is about rape. She seems to have been deeply troubled when alive. |
