This is also my fave song on the album. I connect to this song so much because for me it literally describes my relationship with my ex when we broke up. To start off..the first verse to me is the break-up. "Go slow so that I can hear everythin your saying." Someone dealing with the news that it's over. They're realizing they can't do anything at this point to try to make the other person stay and they're having a hard time accepting it."Just threw this away" Sounds like just one bump in the road and the other person didn't care enough to make this work which pains the other person even more. The heat for me is the pain. What came from this break-up. And they're trying to run away from it but all they can do is think about everything that has happened and it haunts them. They know they have to move on but it just hurts so much and because of it they've become someone else. Someone afraid and always in pain and unable to trust anyone again. They just want to be normal and happy again but because they put so much love into the relationship and got hurt because of it, they don't think they'll ever be the same. |
