I think you're right that it isn't about a girl. Vic has actually struggled with self harm, and I feel like that is what this song is about. The first time I ever listened to it I could relate even though I hadn't thought the meaning through. That was partly what told me it was about his struggle self harm. |

The actual song meaning is about Vic's struggle with self harm. I don't fully understand some parts of the song, but he is personifying the self harm as a girl. He's doing this because of how inviting that razor can be. In many ways it is similar to a girl. By saying "stay away from my friends" he doesn't want his self harming to affect anyone he cares about. |
