| I think this is a phenomenal song, since Jon doesn't just bash the "popular" kids. Instead, he says in general, high school is just four years, then it's over. He's saying, don't obsess about something that won't make such an impact on your life in the future. | |

Personally, I love this song for the language and brutal honesty Jon is putting out there. At the beginning, he talks about how he never experienced living near exquisite scenery. I think he's saying he appreciates this because when he travels, he can fully appreciate what the world has to offer. Further into the song, I respect him because he mentions how he doesn't want the intense fame that many times goes along with his profession. I think personally he's a very modest guy, and therefore, likes the way his life currently is. "I wonder how it feels to be famous, but wonder is as far a I should go" All in all, this is a brilliant song. You put his life in perspective and can tie it in with your own. |
