I thought it was heroin. Just a little pin prick, u may feel a little sick, if u have never done heroin then u don't know but first timers almost always throw up. There is no pain you are receding meaning nodding out. Ur lips move but I can't hear what ur saying. On heroin u try to talk but u just mumble and nod. A distant ship smoke on the horizon. I guess refers to the crazy images and dreams u see when u nod. Maybe? All I know is the second guitar solo gives me chills every time I hear it. |

Love this song! Ok this song is not about a certain "Johnny ". It's about musicians that died before they should have do to drug over dose not suicide. The term "shooting star" is refuring to how they come on to the music scene quickly and so fast then burn out in the same fashion. Like a shooting star in the sky it comes quick then falls but it's amazingly beautiful while it's here. Jimi, Janice, Jim Morrison, etc..... Your welcome |
