I dont know about yall, but to me this song is just ill. The beat is fire. So revolutionary wit da old school flavor. So much heart is put into the lyrics of this song. You can hear the emotion in my man's voice. You can feel the sorrow that flows from the Wu. However, they keep it real with the raw flava that only the wu can deliver. Wu tang is the Shit. I hate to say this but all of you are wrong about the meaning of this song. As all of you may have noticed, the song does seem to come off as a sort of love song, but if you think of it this way, why does Nick say things like "brainstorm, bring me away from the norm". Although this could mean that he is thinking such lovely thoughts, the true meaning is not apparent. This song, in reality has nothing to do with love. It speaks of an experience with a certain drug. This drug, DMT, also known as Amber, is an extreme hallucinogen which causes you to think many things all at once(brainstorm). Your normal state of being vanishes for approximately 5 minutes while you are engulfed by a miriad of colors, particularly golden tones. This "phenomenon" is followed up by hours of hallucination. As all 311 fans know, the band is no stranger to various psychodelics and marijuana. For those of you who are "straigh edge" then the song may mean something different to you. But for those of us who experiment a little more, this meaning definitely makes more sense. If you dont believe my opinion on this, do a little research on DMT. You will instantly understand what this song is about. Thank You. |
