The lyrics are somewhat wrong. First chorus: I love you just the way you are So don't give up just yet And I know its hard, when its so hard (When it's so hard) Forgive me Forgive me Second chorus: I love you just the way you are So don't give up just yet And I know it's hard, when it's so hard (When it's so hard) It's easy to be the quitter So give up So don't give up ... That's what i'm hearing atleast |

I think it's just as crispy567 says, it's about someone (possibly a potential band member) who committed suïcide. 'Candles burn without a flame on' is a sentence that can be interpretted in a couple of ways; I personally think it might be that even though the candles burn, the writer (Matt?) still feels dead inside (meaning 'flame is gone' as in some light in him has died), also because 'the call almost killed him' and because he 'felt so guilty'; Having a good friend commiting suïcide always will spook you to death and will make you think that you could have done something to prevent it, so that's why I think it might be interpretted that way. But it might also be things mentioned in previous comments, we'll probably never know. |
