U2 – She's a Mystery to Me Lyrics 7 years ago
@[tree6hugger:29207] There is no U2 version of this song. Bono said it was written specifically for Roy Orbison. I do like your interpretation though.

Damien Rice – Delicate Lyrics 9 years ago
Everyone seems to want to interpret this song either exclusively about religion or a relationship, when it can be both. In the same way that Bono from U2 is almost always taking about god and the love between man and a woman at the same time in his songs, I think this song Delicate is the same, I think it works on both levels, Rice's relationship with religion and with a girl. Any great song should work on many levels, allowing many different people to interpret the song many different ways, not just from gender or race but from emotional state as well.
Take Pink Floyd's song "Wish You Were here", when I was young I just thought it was about a girl (because I didnt have much experience in the world), as I grew older, what I wished, "were here", was my youth and growing up surrounded by my four best friends, currently its my dog who passed after 12 years. So you can see why that song is so beloved, because it offered comfort in three different ways over 3 decades, now thats impressive.
So embrace that one day you hear Delicate and think of her and later you may think of a higher power.

Sigur Rós – Njósnavélin Lyrics 11 years ago
I am borderline obsessed with this band. Ok, first and foremost, I know that lyrics don't exist and often it is a mix of a lot of things Jonsi comes up with. I think he wants people to feel the emotions of the song first and then possibly make up your own lyrics to fit how the music makes you feel.

Second, my interpretation of the lyrics for Njósnavelin are based on the live version from the Roskilde concert in 2000, along with some info concerning the lyrics from Sigur Ros' own website. The version on the () album is nothing like the version in the Roskilde concert.
Having said that, download that version, put on some headphones and see if my interpretation is interesting, hope you like it as much as I love this song and this band.
