| The Vines – Mary Jane Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| The city is full of negative shit and pointless rushing, You can't even enjoy your Mary Jane. But one day, we will get away from it all and be together happily. | |

There is just never enough time to get high when you live in a city full of RUSH. Also i think this makes sense Mary Jane said love's a wait I already knew Because we're down We'll lose the town Just like I would choose Because we're down(in the city) we'll lose the town, Just like i would choose(To get away from it all) |

I think this song is about needing to break the habit of smoking cannabis all day everyday pretty much, with the purpose of getting healthy and getting things done in life, but then coming back to Mary Jane because he loves her so much and could never just quit forever :) So IMO its about saying goodbye to smoking cannabis for a period of time, and it makes him sad because he loves it, but needs to get things done other than sit at home and get high! |

| Or we are constantly polarizing, instead of unifying in harmony. | |

I would have to agree with this comment, But could also look at it more simply as Positive, and negative. Concsiousness is pushing in the positive direction, while The species going towards to unconcsious is getting into the negative side. Splitting the two in two can be very important for spiritual growth. As positive surroundings and atmosphere is what helps growth while negative is what slows it down. |
