Very few songs nearly move me to tears, but this one did. I was absolutely in love with a guy for six years. We were separated by an entire continent, but we kept in touch through e-mail. We were only friends, but I pined after him for so long. This song makes me think of him and that moment I finally realized I had to let go. And I have to say I prefer the version without Christina Aguilera. Not that she doesn't sound amazing, but there is something hauntingly sad about the original version. Just one guy singing, desperately wishing that the object of his affection would at least notice the fact that he's giving up on her. That's what this song is about to me. Unrequited love. Being so innocent with regards to such strong emotions. And the pain that comes with that person not even realizing that you've given up on them... |

At first I just loved the song because it's so beautiful. But after reading what others said about it maybe being about the relationship between siblings, this song holds new meaning to me, and I love it even more. I can completely relate considering my strained relationship with my brother as of late. I love the lines "We've come as far as we're ever gonna get" and "the way is long but you can make it easy on me." This is the song that got me to buy the album, and I'm thankful I did. Amazing band. |

I think this song is about a relationship that just isn't working out, but the two people keep trying, despite the fact that they keep making the same mistakes and doing the same things to each other over and over. Some of my favorite lines: "I will sell you a future you don’t want Like I did last time I won’t go slow All the things you tell yourself Offer no resolution" "Taking Every chance to Find solutions That never make anyone happy" Amazing song. |

| These lyrics are so full of emotion and feeling. Definitely one of my favorite songs on the album. I agree, this is most likely about a relationship that ended, and the singer has so much pent up rage and frustration about it all, she is targeting her ex. Really great song to sing when you're feeling jilted... | |
