This year I had to do a work about Pompeii for the university, I had to research on the urban organization and constructions, but while looking for information I couldn't stop reading and thinking about the people and how they suffered from the Vesubios eruption. How it might have felt being there knowing what was about to happen but without being able to do something about it. It was already too late and there wasn't physical ways to get out of there, but if you close your eyes? Maybe mentally they could get away from that suffering. Personally, I sometimes feel in this way with life problems, those who make you wake up and realize about your mistakes and flaws. Who force you not only to find a short term solution but also makes you meditate about yourself and where you are going on life. But if we keep on thinking about these problems all day long we cannot live, so we let ourselves sleep again, submerging again in our routing. |
