Read about what was happening at the time here and you'll understand it. The police were called the RUC and they were being brutal to people. Beating them up without reason and stopping and searching them. Then the British army was brought to Northern Ireland meant to stop sectarian violence (the Catholic and protestant communities fighting each other) but they were worse and even killed people. The song is about how people were feed up with it all and wanted change and peace. |

I'm sorry but you're are so wrong its about police brutality in Ulster in during the time and saying we need change. It is nothing to do with racism or England, its just about what unfair things were happening in Ulster. |
