First off, I'm In Love With This Song. I've been getting really into old 70s rock like Television, The Modern Lovers, Jonathan Richman, and of course VU. I really wanted to hear a good love song from this era and genre and found Big Star to be contemporaries to Tele and The Modern Lovers, so I downloaded Radio City. This song played and it hit me like an arrow, It was just what I was looking for to hear. This song is so pure and lovely and full of passion. He is singing about finding love and how unbelievable it is to him the feelings, being with this girl, he feels lucky and thankful. The girl makes him want to be a better man ( All that a man should do, is true) I will sing this song to her. |

| i heard this song before lost in translation but when i did see the movie the song seemed to fit the scene perfectly and i think the directors's interpretation of this song relates so many others that of it being a very bitter sweet love song, I never really tried to get too much into this song cause its the JAMC's smells like teen spirit and i wanted to get into their material without the hype of their hits and singles, but i actually had this doing come to mind in a situation very reminiscent of the last scene in lost in translation. Good song, great song, meaning? Not sure like the lyrics though, the dirty "sexual references" never came off that way to me, i think we all should get our minds out of the gutter and enjoy the music! | |
