Second Post, same topic, started writing lyrics to [ALL IT TAKES IS A SONG] All it takes is a song, to get back there again, back to my youth, when the trip began, with Elvis, Beatles and friends, then Leary, Butterflies of Iron, it was a gas, there ain't no denying, now its beds in rooms, thoughts of dying, waiting for the Reaper from a Blue Cult, eating Oysters with no result,!!! That's all I got right now, cause I ain't lived the rest, I cant wait to finish the test, when I'm up there with the best, all the Jimmy's Johnny's and the rest, I'll be glad when JESUS cleans up this MESS!!!! |

I am 58 and This was the first album I ever bought I think I was 12 or 13 about 1968/69. I'd heard it on the radio but didn't really click on it, I bought it to impress and older teenage girl cousin!! But a few years and introduction to pot and [WOODSTOCK] and {TIMOTHY LEARY} its been a wild ride and the song has never left my mind or my heart!!! I wish I still had all those original recordings in my possession! I have CD's now, but no more good {TIMOTHY} if you know what I mean!!! Now I'm super clean, but all it takes is a song to get there again. Damn that sounds like a good song title [ALL IT TAKES IS A SONG] MARK 281/908/0071 |

I never really knew the meaning of the song, all I really ever heard was [you got me in a strangle hold baby] and [some people say ur gonna die someday I got news u never got to go old] But a good joint and a beer and STRANGLEHOLD I could get lost in the guitar and to top it off with IRON BUTTERFLIES [IN-A-GA DDA-DA-VITA] and then it was party time!!!! This was in the early 70's it was good then and is now and so am I at 58yrs old [[[ROCK AND ROLL]]]!!! |

I have been listening to the moodies for over 50 years. I have always had my own interpretation of the songs that they wrote and they had their own. I have applied my own because once its written without a direct expression of the point or specific subject it becomes abstract and open for us to do as we will. Lyrics are eternal. I think that's the way they wanted it. Their Seventh Sojourn Album will be played at my ascension to the spirit when I leave this flesh behind |
