My interpretation of this song is that the singer's girlfriend recently broke up with him and is a paranoid about the whole thing. "Now I'm falling asleep And she's calling a cab While he's having a smoke And she's taking a drag Now they're going to bed And my stomach is sick And it's all in my head" Basically, he's saying how he's only thinking that all this is happening, and that it is all a delusion. He believes that this girl he cares so much for has already moved on and is now with some other guy. Essentially, it's his own imagination making him think that she never cared for him and has already forgotten him. "I just can't look its killing me And taking control Jealousy, turning saints into the sea" He wants to stop thinking that she has forgotten him, but he can't. It seems too real, due to the jealousy the delusion gives him. "I never I never I never I never" The singer is devastated, realizing that although he thought she truly loved him and that she would never want to leave him, she did. Anyway, that's just my interpretation. |
