| @[loversdreamersandme:679] I totally agree. He could also mean with "but I love to read the words you used" that they are not talking any longer but he just loved anything she said, no matter what it was about. This is really romantic... | |

| I heard that song on a concert of them last month. It was Joe who sang it. He sings just as good as Isaac. I think this song is similar great as for example You Found Me. Unfortunately, I could find the album version nowhere... | |

I have no idea, too. But the dancer always remember to "Absolute". He also sings about a girl who wants to be a dancer: "It's a kiss that sits upon on her lips, that waits for planes and battle ships She wants to be a dancer and he has got a picture On his wall and it's a sailor in a new port every night Yet man was born to trouble like sparks fly upwards innocent" So maybe there's a connection between this two songs? |

First of all, I think the lyrics of this song are really beautiful. I love the lyrics of this song because they catch the beauty of a moment. "We know the summer thrill is gone but we’ve never been so in love." They know the beautiful time is over but they don't looking back in a sad way. They look back, knowing that the time was great and they enjoyed it. And I think this song is about something very important. Life doesn't last forever. It can be over so fast and you have to enjoy every single minute. You just have to live and don't waste time regretting things that happened in the past. That's just my opinion. |

I like it very much that the Fray's songs can be interpreted of so many kinds according to the listeners's situation and thoughts... In my opinion, this song tells the story about a couple. Anyway, they can't be together, a little bit like Romeo and Juliet. ("All we know is distance, we're close and then we run.") But they ignore their bad situation, they're just dreaming on cloud nine. Suddenly, the man starts noticing that they won't have a future together. ("And I begin to feel the ground.") And anyway, he has a bad conscience (maybe by cheating someone?) and he wants to break off, but she refuse this vehemently. ("I know you hate this one .") She wants to get away with him, she's already packing her bags ("boxing up everything, you've got") while he's just lying on the ground, regretting, getting crazy and waiting that something happens. ("Lay my body down on the floor to forget what I've done, silhouette 'till the good lord come.") She knows that it would change their life and that they would have to do it secretly (You're scared, scared to see your mother there in the door.") and she's wonderring how fast the time passed by. ("You wonder where did the years go.") Finally, he breaks off with her but he is doubting if he's doing the right thing. ("Or have we just begun to kiss away the difference?") There's only two question left: First: What means "difference" in this song? Well, I think that the couple also might have a conflict, that they jsut kissed away. But it also might be the differnce that is responsible that they can't be together. Then: I really don't understand the verse "The violins make no sound". Why exactly was this picture chosen? I don't know. All things considering, it's just a great song and I love it very much. |
