Coldplay – Swallowed in the Sea Lyrics 10 years ago
Guys, Chris wrote this for his wife after she lost her father. She became depressed after he died and he wrote this one because she belongs with him, not "swallowed in the sea" of depression of sorts. It's a beautiful song, quite possibly my favorite ever.

Imagine Dragons – My Fault Lyrics 10 years ago
Pretty sure this was written while the band was far away from home for a really long time.

I took a walk on a Saturday night,
Fog in the air,
Just to make my mind seem clear
Where do I go from here?

*He's got a day off and he's upset. He goes for a walk to go clear his head*

I see my breath pushing steam through the air,
Shaking hands run through my hair,
My fears, where do I go from here?

*He doesn't know what to do and it scares him. Running his hands through his hair implies that he's lonely (misses someone's touch)

Is it my fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other.
My fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other.

*He misses someone a lot, and he's wondering if it's his fault, if he's the one to blame (more coming up)*

Walking down to the waters edge,
Asking why I’m here instead of home,
Now I stand alone.

*He walks to the ocean. Why is he here instead of home? Why isn't he with whoever it is he's missing? He feels alone. He's wondering if maybe this is all worth it, being so far away*

I stop to stare at the ocean side
I'm breathing in just to feel it’s side
With his
Like you were here with me.

*He looks across the ocean, possibly towards home, towards whoever it is he's missing. He wishes he/she (i'm gonna assume it's a she) was with him. He wants her so badly.*

Is it my fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other.
My fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other.

*And once again, he's asking whether or not it's his fault*

Oh it's on the wall, it's loud,
It's in the brightest light,
It's when the world is moving.
Oh it's in the faintest cry,
It's in the lovers' eye,
It's when I need you most,
And don't you know,

*He sees her in everything, and he misses her and needs her. More than anything.*

Is it my fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other.
My fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other.

Is it my fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other.
My fault, is it my fault?
We’ve been missing each other,
We’ve been missing each other

*And he's so desperate to know whether or not it's his fault*
In my opinion, I think that this was written while the band was on tour. Maybe Dan was missing his girlfriend back home or something while they were far away, across the ocean. He's looking across the ocean and asking "Is it my fault?" because he can't see her because Imagine Dragons got famous enough to do concerts that were that far away from home. Just my take on it.
