This is probably my favorite song right now -- it is a stroke of genius. If there is such a thing as a pop masterpiece, then this is it. It always makes me cry a little. I made a couple of corrections to the lyrics. There is a clearly audible "so..." before the first "I ran away in the morning," and also, it is "In east wind skies." The copyright owner has to approve them, though. |

| I can't help thinking that this song is a memorial to John Lennon, and is lamenting the tragic circumstances of his death, which had occurred within that year. It's a very beautiful song, and certainly a worthy memorial, if that's what it is. | |
