I believe that 'losing' a person is ment as someone who's severely depressed. Not so much closure on a relationship. Not be able to connect with a person, hence the question "can I ask you why?" Also in "Today you were far away, and I didn't ask you why, What could I say, I was far away" what I interpret as not being able to understand his/her world, not knowing his/her problems, though the willingness to cooperate and even the guilt of not knowing how to handle the situation. As someone who can't seem to be motived to get out of bed "hey are you awake?". Whereas these are question as you don't want to seem too harsh on such a person. |
