In my humble point of view, I think this song is outstandingly intteligent. It criticizes de very behavior of the "young lovers", in which love itself is rather absent (I chew you up and I'll spit you out / 'Cause that's what young love is all about), as well as the lyrics of some of some mainly american popstars... That's why I love Marina. She makes up a song that seems to be no different than the thousand others from more famous popstars, and puts implictly a whole critic about the society in it...
