This song is so much more then some fucking stupid petty gossip high school shit.Its about never being understood by anyone in the world.Feeling so alone and empty like there is something wrong with you but in the end accepting who you are because there is no point in screaming to deaf people who just pretend to hear you...The high school thing is just a metaphor for society.This song came out when i had made a big move from Chicago to Florida and I thought that I would be able to re-invent myslef and fit in with everyone you know,just be normal for once but these lyrics inspired me to believe in myself,it made me relize that I didnt want to live like anyone else.Im an outcast and I cant summit myself to a world that I dont belong too.You have to embrace every part of you,the darkness and the light.I dont care anymore that no one else gets me.I get me.So i use that.its my armor and I cant stand alone and strong,Im not loney and weak becuase I am who I am.Im diffrent and I love every bit of it no matter how hard it gets |

I feel as if the first verse is about how a person was in trouble then they found someone pure and inspiring who later on became more of an equal because of things they have done 'DUST BEHIND YOU' could be a metaphor bad decisions.'this world at times will blind you' probably means that you know its not your fault you got caught up in that mess everybody makes mistakes "still i know ill see you there' probably means that the friend is strong the 2nd verse prob means something similar.How the friend and you go are at a breaking point and your at a crossroads are u guna lay down and let it defeat you or are u guna fight.(with the final verse i cant quite figure it out yet) and then the chorus my FAV PART is about how EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING has more meaning to it,more depth,more value then what is on the surface.And i also think that it is kind of a way to challenge the listener to really look at themselves and figure out why they are the way they are,why do you feel? |
