I feel like this song is about religious pursuit. The narrator feels like he's looking into a reflektor. This is hime searching for faith, but ending up finding himself and what he already knows. "I thought, I found a way to enter / It’s just a reflektor." He thinks he is finding god, but he just ends up seeing himself in this pursuit. This completely explains the line "Thought you would bring me to the resurrector / Turns out it was just a reflektor." He is looking for the resurrector: God (and that could be any god, depending on belief), but in the end, he is looking into himself. |
