I like some of the ideas about loss of faith leading us to become lonely and isolated... but I personally believe that the song doesn't need to be so directed towards one type of faith, but more so to wherever people choose to place their faith; whether it be religion, love, friendship or anything! I don't necessarily agree with your interpretation, but it is nonetheless one valid perception. |

One interpretation: That in putting all of your faith into someone or something that you love (whether it be anything from religion to a relationship) to then have it taken away, leaves you feeling lost and empty. We lost faith, in the arms of love. Beautiful song. |
