Björk is known for her love and understanding for mother nature. She is one step ahead from all the rest. And then she uses her 'call in life', music. To send the message: we are going to die, all of us, if we don't act. I think your right. Completely right. If you look at singers like Björk, Thom Yorke and also bands like Tool - you can see that within there newest music and album realises is a whole new focus on nature, human beings, 'the bigger picture, which normal people don't seem to understand, because we live in a illusion where nature and the spiritual has been seen a something not important through time. I find it amazing that so many artists get the bigger picture... I think everything could be about to change. |

| I feel that this song is about human having to fail, for the humans to understand that we can't trust capitalism. That we need to connect back to mother nature. I think that one day there will be consequences so terrible, that we will have to change the way we think and see things. But as Björk sings, we have to fail and then reborn. I think it's about Björk confronting the city and the people in it. Like in Isobel. It's like she is confronting what is truly meaningful. Not money, materialistic or anything else. She sends love, music and nature. She can't do more than that. That's why I think that this song is so dramatic and powerful. Björk is fully exposed to everyone. Thats her weakness I guess. Her curse is that she loves to much. |
