| My interpretation is incomplete, because not all the lyrics match up. But what i'm hearing is the story of a society that refuses to speak up when they see evil. "sound of silence" and in doing so pave the way for commercialism and the worst parts of capitalism to rule. | |

So i could be way off- but here's my interpretation. Whiskey tango is a reference to "white trash" and her reference to using complex language implies a relationship with someone "from the wrong side of the tracks" For some reason they are not able to have a relationship, and he/she is ready to make that leap, but she bails, for the greater good- (by calling on my gypsy pedigree) But thoughts of him won't go away. she laments the loss of him/her and wishes they could be together. Maybe its just my own situation that makes this song so meaningful, and so like my experience. Or maybe i'm all off :) Ps. I referenced the love as him/her leaning toward "her" because the ghost is referred to as "her" |
