No, man. Okay, here's how I take it. He has been saying "I figure I'll be fine in time" to himself, Danny or whoever for the longest time. The only thing is that we need to realize the excuse of "Just giving it some time" can only apply to a few select things, typically dealing with either arguments or grieving issues. You can't say "I figure I'll be fine in time" til you have creases around your eyes from telling yourself lies. Well, you can, as I myself had the realization of the continuous lies I was telling myself about life simply being better in time shortly after I turned 31. It's a tricky slope, but only putting down the bottle and focusing will get you where you want to be. As the song says... "Still I'm betting on time to redefine my life But this is not a lottery No this is not a lottery" That seems like a pretty clear statement to me about him realizing he's making a fools bet over and over again. |
