@[yrogerg:34377] Ive only seen the version where its a young maid in the 1800s (Uk version ? looks english) goes and works for a rich family and they beat her and disregard her for everything she does .. and she looks in a mirror and sees the lead singer seeing her and he tries to becon her into the mirror (she eventually does after a particulary bad beating) and you can see hes Pulled a lot of diff ppl into his world ... maybe ones hes saved from bad situations ? |

However, the girl who Leedskalnin later referred to as his "Sweet Sixteen" broke their engagement the day before the wedding this was around 1910 I think the song is Inspired by him (Idol was a fan) and partially from Idols own then experiances with his own young gf at the time |

@[AlexandriaDaniels:34308] thanks Loved the song and knew about the poor guy that got ditched a day before his wedding (like seriously even back then who does that prob less than 12 hrs before the big day?) but didnt know exactly what "someones building candy castles" actually meant ... apart from him building the coral castle in memory of her .. Id love to of known what her reason for ditching him (and so close to the time too) was and if she ever regretted it .. maybe she thought a man that was nearly 30 was too old for someone thats barely not even 20 ... even with his $$ |
