| The Lonely Island – Great Day Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| Pretty basic premise. Somebody loses his job, buys a fuck load of cocaine and goes into a stimulant psychosis after a 3 day coke binge. | |

| What they didn't say is they obviously also used a lot of Shrooms / LSD / MDMA for their inspiration for this album. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Behind the Sea Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Definitely really Atheistic but it can actually mean that people spend so much time thinking about stupid religious ideas that Atheists believe themselves to be separated from all spirituality or even philosophy and are therefore unable to connect with the non-theistic oneness in the world. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – We're So Starving Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Their best album. They stop trying so hard to be different and instead can put their own unique twist on more interesting subject matter. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Do You Know What I'm Seeing Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Very beautiful. Probably written on a psychedelic. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Nine In The Afternoon Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| No lol.... | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Nine In The Afternoon Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| The reason it's ecstasy is not only do your pupils dilate but you have a wide-eyed childlike face. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Nine In The Afternoon Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Not marijuana mate, it's E. Nobody has eyes the size of the moon when blazed, they go red and squint up so even if your pupils are dilated it's not noticable. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Nine In The Afternoon Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I feel the same but I'm sure it's about ecstasy not shrooms. Shrooms is much more of a go-do drug and feels more like this song than shrooms to me. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Nine In The Afternoon Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| Don't think it's about a true psychedelic like shrooms or there'd be more visual references and less emotional ones. Probably about Ecstasy which has some psychedelic properties but is primarily an empathogenic. | |

There's some silly interpretations on here. This song is about Ecstasy, although they obviously can't say that explicitly. "Back to the streets where we began, feeling as good as lovers can, you know We're feeling so good" You feel all the euphoria of the peak of falling in love with somebody when you're on MDMA. "Picking up things we shouldn't read looks like the end of history as we know Just the end of the world" Reading the news, he realizes on MDMA how fucked up it all seems and he's mentally overwhelmed - it seems so crazy that it must be the end of the world. "Back to the streets where we began, feeling as good as love, you could, you can . . ." Most people on ecstasy will say that they feel pure love. Everything seems like a possibility and you have a desire to do them "You could, you can". However, nothing feels like a need on MDMA, which is why you don't feel hungry, cold, hot or horny. "Into a place where thoughts can bloom. Into a room where it's nine in the afternoon." This could either mean the place the drug takes your mind, or literally walking into a new place on ecstasy makes you feel renewed. A lot of people feel more like themselves and able to think and express their thoughts better. "Nine in the afternoon" just means that it's actually late in the evening, but it feels like the prime of the day when the E kicks in because you have so much energy. "We know that it could be, and we know that it should, and you know that you feel it too. When it's nine in the afternoon." This could be anything, because literally any idea you have on MDMA seems like the most perfect thing in the world and a possibility. It was probably kept vague to make it more relatable and applicable to anyone who's used MDMA. "Your eyes are the size of the moon." Ever seen someone on MDMA? 'Nuff said "You could, 'cause you can so you do!" You have no worries or inhibitions on MDMA. "I could dance . . . because I can . . . so I will!" "We're feeling so good, just the way that we do, when it's nine in the afternoon." The line "just the way that we do" indicates that it's definitely a song about drug use because it's a sort of 'routine' or 'expected'. As in, obviously whenever they take the MDMA, it's just how they feel. I could keep on going but . . . if you've ever done real MDMA or taken a real E then you know what this song's about. |
