@[dundane:4566] The "God with no face" part could apply to other religions too. Christianity has various pictures of their god's face, but it's only a general thing. There's ones made to look like Jesus, but Christian god is almost always interpreted to look like an elderly white male with a beard. In Exodus 33:20, 20 "But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” |

| How humanity has driven itself to destruction and that we're doomed to our own Hell | |
| Tech N9ne – Dysfunctional Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| My interpretation is that he can't control his anger well and can lose it and become "emotional" | |
| Disturbed – Run Lyrics | 11 years ago |

It reminds me of the movie Law Abiding Citizen. The lyric's mach it very well, especially "I've spent a lifetime planning out your destruction You're never going to witness another day A lonely lifetime planning out your destruction, with no other function" And "I want to wait this time Don't wonder why you can't clear this final sin You know this story was over before it began This is a battle you're not going to win" |

| Bullet for My Valentine – Temper Temper Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| I believe that the song is about having resisted the urge to just kill someone when they push you and it feeling so good when you give in and attack them. | |
| Shinedown – Sin With a Grin Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| Well enjoying every emotion is something so human, that it's inhuman. Most people don't. Then again, the right things can break a person. Like you said " thanking someone for putting them through so much that they have been driven crazy, as that is the only way to endure the pain". | |
| Shinedown – Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom) Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| I think it's about, simply put, the battle of life. Because life is the battlefield everyone is in. The front line is simply those certain pains of life that feel worse than the others. That's my interpretation anyway. | |
| Papa Roach – Kick In The Teeth Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
My favourite line of the song has to be: 'You're setting me free with one more kick in the teeth'. I think this song is about just ignoring to pain of life because it'll only make you stronger in the end. |

I see your point and agree. But the difference is I burn with amusement. It makes it so much more........ cruel-ly fun. And I keep my grammar as good as possible. Also: Don't Be Emo! Be a monster. It's so fun! And the same principles are there, just twisted. |
