| Madeline Adams – The Demise of Madame Butterfly Lyrics

Seems to me that the references in the lyrics are to do with Madame Butterfly as an archetype - that is, referencing the opera's story (which is problematic, to say the least), not the music (which most everyone agrees is great). Not sure how you'd want a folk singer to reference an opera musically, anyway. |

| FIDLAR – LDA Lyrics

There's a radio spot Fidlar did where guitarist/singer Zac Carper introduces this song as being "about [guitarist/singer] Elvis [Kuehn]'s fake ID." Apparently "LDA" are the initials of the actual owner of the ID. Drummer Max Kuehn (Elvis's brother) said it sounds "like a gay love song, but it's actually not." I'd have to agree, though you have to wonder if Elvis intended the listener to get that impression. |
