| The title comes from a story in Italo Calvino's book "Marcovaldo, or The Seasons in the City" where the main character wanders the empty streets of his city while all the other inhabitants are away on their Summer holiday. Seasons in the city is also part of the song's lyrics so I'm curious about this book being an inspiration for it. | |

This is a song about Fascists. "Keeping up nostalgic/Discipline is his passion", "He's obsessed with order". Furthermore "When Mussolini was here, the trains used to run on time" is a phrase often used by people who are nostalgic for Fascism. |
