The "dark" should be "dumped". If you listen to the London Grammar cover they say "dumped" and if you listen closely to the Kavinsky original version, he says "dumped" as well.

I think it's all wrong for the "dark" part. He's a serial murderer phoning into the police and telling them "where it's dumped". Listen really closely. it has to be "dumped", it doesn't sound like "dark" at all - dark doesn't even fit with the lyrics.

"I'm gonna show you where it's dumped, but have no fear"

Essentially, it's a serial killer making a phone call from a public pay phone - I think maybe he's taunting an investigator or phoning his estranged significant other.
