Anyone have any idea what he's saying between like 2:45 and 3:18? Also each time the chorus is repeated a second time he seems to say "Both Muhammad and Christ would lay your body down" dropping the "word life" or "would life" part. Leads me to believe he is saying "word life" the first time, merely as emphasis on how true what he is saying really is. Kinda like saying "for real". If that makes sense. If it is in fact "would life" then perhaps that means "were they alive" they "would lay your body down." Either way I don't think those two particular words in question are all that important to the overall meaning of the line. Until he adds the "both" to the line it seems like the "would life" or "word life" are primarily there for the sake of timing and flow. Basically he is just saying Mohammad and Christ would not approve of killings and war in their name, as others have already pointed out. Be it people in power using God as an excuse or whatever. They would tell us to stop. Anyway a bit late but 2014 and I still love this album! |
