This is my interpretation Perfect by nature Icons of self indulgence Just what we all need More lies about a world that never was and never will be Meaning the icons / celebrities that we see these days are symbols of seld indulgence meaning doing whatever wants usually something that pleases them so basically the fake assumption people buy that celebrities , like herself, can just do whatever they want, and that its just another lie in this world and will never be true. Have you no shame? Don't you see me? You know you've got everybody fooled She is talking to her alter ego, the one that appears in public and acts perfect as she says , anyways so shes saying dont you see how broken i am ? arent you ashamed of the lie you have turned me into? and the lie that everyone has bought? Look, here she comes now Bow down and stare in wonder Oh, how we love you No flaws when you're pretending Referring to when she makes public appearances as a star and how everyone practically worships her false perfect image, because she says oh how we love you which is the fans reaction to her and no flaws when youre pretending as in shes not showing how damaged she is, shes using a perfect happy person facade , possibly referring to making fame seem appealing. But now I know she Never was and never will be You don't know how you've betrayed me And somehow you've got everybody fooled And now shes saying that now she knows that that alter perfect ego was never her , the real her, and never will be the real her, and how its betrayed her for making her think she was going to be something she wanted but changed to be something else she wasnt expecting to have to turn into. and once again how that facade is fooling everyone. Without the mask, where will you hide? Can't find yourself lost in your lie I know the truth now I know who you are And I don't love you anymore And now when she says without the mask where will you hide, she means without that fake persona , how are you going to hide what and who you really are? and how she cant find who she really is anymore and is lost in her own lie of what she pretended to be. and then she's saying that she knows the truth of what that fake is persona is now and who it is , maybe meaning its evil or whatever , and how she doesnt love the alter version of herself anymore. It never was and never will be You're not real and you can't save me And somehow now you're everybody's fool Repeating that it was never her and the world of fame she lived in was never really her and never will be , and shes saying her alter self is not the real her and cant save her soul and cant help her live the life she was looking for when she turned to fame and music and now shes everybodys fool, meaning probably that she was a fool and tricked by the music industry and fame and that they lied to her and cant give her what she was looking for . thats the best i can sum this up and this is how i understand it , sorry if its a little long. |

| Whether it is or isnt critisizing religion idc i like its philosophical point of view. And by the way im pretty sure when he says jesus for the jugular one at a time , jugular doesnt mean attacking someone at their weakest point , jugular just has to do with that throat area , he says jesus for the jugular one at a time , aint nobody ever gonna ever have to die i think hes referring to the quote from jesus where he says drink from me and you will live forever . as to the other parts where it says well they hold your soul once you sign the deed he could be referring to signing away your soul , which is true you are either signing your soul away to god or the devil. so no it isnt critisizing religion its just being honest and u obviously didnt get that. By the way im pretty sure that when it says how do you preach the word if you dont know how to read , its saying that whoever preaches the word either doesnt follow it to be telling other people what to do , or if you misinterpret it or dont understand it how are you going to tell people what its saying in the book? | |
