I think the lyrics are about caleb being cocky with all his money and trying to impress some girl who impresses him without even having to try. The way he sings in this song nearly sounds aggressive until the chorus. During the verses It sounds like he's frustrated by the way the girl doesn't care for him even though he has all this money and fame. He's not used to this behaviour because normally girls just throw themselves at him and he can't find a way to woo her over. Then during the chorus his tone changes and it sounds like he accepts that this girl will never love him. It sounds like he accepts the fact that all he is, is rich and he believes he will never be anything more. When he sings "I showed you my car, but I don't drive" is like he's saying he can try all he wants to impress her with his money, but he'll never be able to buy the skill. Also, I think the name of the song 'my third house' refers to basically his money and the things he can do with it. |

The bit where it says "he pulled the mirrors off his Cadillac cause he doesn't like it looking like he looks back" sounds similar to the lyrics of arctic monkeys 'the blond-o-sonic shimmer trap' , where it says "and she snapped wing mirrors off a Cadillac, a particularly pretty one, and it meant that she never had to strain her back when she was putting her lippy on" They sound quite similar and have similar meanings of a person with a large ego |

| Sometimes when you don't get into clubs you swap jumpers with another person and cue up to get back in the club in hope that the bouncers won't recognise you so I think that's what he's talking about here | |

| I don't know why but this song makes me so sad or something, does anybody else agree? | |

I think this song is about dying due to an illness of some sort . When he says "toss me a breath when you hold me down" I think he's kind of being sarcastic or something, like he's saying to god 'give me a break while your killing me' "Hot like a razor on my face" I think is him saying how it feels like the illness is just killing him like a blade to the throat. In the second verse I think it's him saying how deep down the illness is killing him and I think he's talking about him dreaming of being a rock star and saying how now the dream seems silly. "Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair, boys are gonna hate the way I seem". I think in the third verse he's basically talking about how now life seems meaningless and he's just waiting to die. "Feels like a fast or homeless sleep". I'm not quite sure what the last verse is about. His mam's name is Betty Ann so I think he's definitely referring to her. I think it's kind of like a flashback or of what he's heard about his birth. His mam is very religious so it sounds like she was praying for the baby to survive the birth and that the baby was crying a lot. I think he's just kind of reflecting on life here. Like he's thinking about when he was being born because now he's dying. That's just my interpretation anyway. I always love reading into calebs lyrics. |
