Well, I feel like people tend to underestimate the power of the song even when you don't understand it's meaning. I have a different idea. The sounds of musical instruments "SPEAK". it's hard to but it is not impossible to get it. My mother language is not English, it is Portuguese and not all the time I have opportunity to check the lyrics. Sometimes I need to feel what the instruments are telling me and what the person that is singing "is singing like". Now disconnecting from what I said before, for me the song (I haven't seen the video) relates to a person with low self-esteem, lack of confidence, etc. Shaun says he's afraid of the gift he was given, that he doesn't belong, that he is ashamed and that he "likely matters to the one he needs". Thats my take... Very nice song... I'm 23 and I listen to rock since 2006....very cool band... I didn't even believe when I read/heard that the band was from South Africa...metal is growing in Africa even here in my country...anyway, that's all for now.. |

| @[lovesac:453] i was watching ghosts of rwanda and after it this song came to my mind...in the documentary we have four people that keep breathing: the murderers,the survivors, the people that tried to do the best they could to save everyone and the ones that did nothing. the song, for me its about the last ones, and i fell sorry for them. | |
