the best band with the greatest musical sensibilities for someone like me, that i love to death and then to death again, that i just can't listen to sometimes.. i'm not sure honestly if it's Philippe or Herve that sings, but they make Bernie Sumner sound like he was classically trained. it frustrates me when i share something like this song, or take the shock away with someone for the first time, all they hear is out of tune... but they are so IN tune under the surface. i'm bald so i can't pull out my hair, but i would. so, not the greatest at holding a note. if you can get past this, you wil understand why they are still beheld with such reverence from those who get T21 |

i think this song is actually about feedback, like you receive when people comment on your work. "i will protect you from your visions save you from delusions, i will protect you from ideals to save you from defeat" sometimes you think you are great, when the consensus might say otherwise, feedback removes your self-delusion of perfection to keep you from becoming complacent, and thus irrelevant. i'm rather convinced that this is the message, and was impressed by how clever this song is when i realized it. covenant = awesome. |

sounds like the struggle to survive the disgust of menial work to me. throw out the body of another failure and get hired only to blow it again because you can't take it. anyone with a bad job should find this theraputic more than sad. ps. why hide lyrics are in here as well, but it's a seperate song. |
