This is probably the song that had lingered most with me out of all the atmospheric songs on Horn of Plenty. It might be about sex but it poetically balances the anticipation with the post-coital resolution. I didn't think about it when I just sank into the soundscape but sweet resolution is how it ends. How humanly sweet! |

Veckatimest is my least favourite Grizzly Bear albums but relistening to I Live with You is always a reminder to myself to re-evaluate. The pulse-like throb with electronica intruding. And yes, that switch from "they'll try" (to keep us apart) to "you'll try". It is twisted. It is real though. And it breathes the intense righteousness that only a jealous person can feel, pulsing to the end, and then melting back into or out of the Foreground. |
