I think this song is about depression. Lines like "But the blackness in your heart it won't last forever" or "That's causing you such pain. Does it have something to do with the pills they gave to you?" are actually talking about a person who is lost and sad, and they gave him/her pills to recover. My psychologist diagnosed me with depression, and I feel identified with this song. I mean... "O' Sister, what's wrong with your mind?" This song is clearly about depression. |

This is one of my favorite songs because it helped me a lot when my ex-girlfriend left me. It's like this song knows all that happened to me. I feel so identified with the lyrics, and it hurts a lot. She left him and he can not believe it. He's leaving a message to her future boyfriend, warning him about her, about how she is and about she did to him. He's angry and he thinks that she will repeat the story with the other guy. He thinks that he will be the first that will be ok, and finally he opened his eyes. |
