I think it’s the opposite, that he is in a relationship with a girl who’s somewhat of a pebble, fragile and insecure. And he feels like he has to take care of her and show her love all the time. Maybe he was in love with her at the start, but now he’s uncertain and is only there because he still cares about her and don’t want to break her heart. The only time when he’s really certain he loves her is in the morning (or something).
She doesn’t notice that he’s unhappy and still carry on with her things. Somehow it seems like their relationship are on a schedule, that everything is routine. He is really afraid of breaking her heart and treats her like she is really special to him. Maybe he needs her more than he realizes. |
